DECEMBER 18, 2017 - MARYSVILLE, CALIFORNIA: The Yuba-Sutter Gold Sox are continuing to add to the 2018 roster into the holiday season.
William (Billy) Moreland will be joining the team from the University of Northern Colorado. “Billy is an excellent addition to our roster and we’re excited to bring him out for the summer to play ball,” said VP/GM Michael Mink.
The 6’00, 185 pound sophomore is currently majoring in Business with an emphasis in Finance at the University of Northern Colorado. In Billy’s freshman year with the Bears, he appeared in 28 games and started four of them. He had 24 at-bats with a batting average of .208, Billy pitched in eight games. Defensively, he had a fielding percentage of .950.
Billy attended Heritage High School in Littleton, Colorado where he lettered three times in baseball. He was a first team All-Conference selection in 2016 and a second team All-Conference in 2015.
